Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) with American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) certification, or Doctor of Osteopathic (DO) with ABMS certification, or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) with Maine State Board of Licensure of Podiatric Medicine certification
  • Evaluates and treats specific patient populations according to specialty norms and Medical Director direction
  • Coordinates care and communicates with the healthcare team
  • Participates in medical staff and hospital committees
  • Accepts patient referrals from other physicians
  • Acts as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for hospitalized patients as needed
  • Participates in academic programs, medical education, and research as requested
