About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own Maisha Meds’ platform end to end across provider software, reimbursement workflows, data products, and the AI layer
  • Define the platform vision and three-year product roadmap across provider software, reimbursement, and data
  • Prioritize bold bets and quick wins, decide what to build versus buy, and hold the organization to OKRs
  • Determine where AI should own tasks, assist providers or operators, or keep clinicians in the loop
  • Build an evaluation-led AI product practice
  • Develop forecasting and stockout prevention, claims and audit anomaly detection, dispensing decision support, low-bandwidth conversational interfaces, and internal operations automation
  • Define product success metrics and own the metric tree from provider activation through patient outcomes and cost per DALY averted
  • Build instrumentation and reconciliation to make metrics trustworthy to payors
  • Run staged rollouts, holdouts, and quasi-experimental designs
  • Own acquisition, activation, and retention across the provider network, including LTV and CAC
  • Shape platform positioning, pricing, and deployment with government health systems, private partners, and payors
  • Manage and mentor product managers and designers and lead scrum teams across geographies
  • Build an ambitious, data-driven, customer-centric, outcomes-focused execution culture
  • Represent the product with ministries of health, funders, leadership, and country teams
  • Lead steering committees, communicate complex technical work to varied audiences, and unlock growth partnerships

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 8 years of product experience
  • Meaningful experience working on AI-powered products
  • Experience managing people
  • Hands-on fluency with LLMs, including prompt design, retrieval architectures, evaluation pipelines, and agent tooling
  • Understanding of cost, latency, and quality trade-offs in AI products
  • Experience taking at least one product from concept to production to scale in a resource-constrained environment
  • Ownership of product outcomes
  • Strong quantitative and data fluency
  • Experience building an experimentation practice
  • Ability to prototype quickly, sketch flows, write copy, and make product visions concrete
  • Ability to earn credibility with clinical and technical teams and translate between them
  • Deep experience building products that users love, including customer needs, market opportunity, and reporting and regulatory requirements across multiple countries
  • Experience in healthcare, clinical tools, or another high-stakes domain is a strong plus
  • Prior experience with third-party technology and product partnerships helps
