About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Review product requirement documents and engineering functional specifications to define test strategies and scope
Design and document test strategy, test plans, and test cases
Design, implement, and execute automated test suites for different applications
Contribute to the design of the Test Automation Framework using best practices
Analyze issues and provide detailed technical feedback
Document test procedures and report test results
Mentor junior automation engineers
Develop and maintain scalable automated test suites to reduce reliance on manual execution
Expand automation coverage and optimize framework efficiency
Drive team capability development through active mentorship and technical guidance
Work closely with the Testing Team Lead for daily task coordination, progress tracking, and reporting as needed
Increase automation coverage for high-priority regression suites
Achieve automated detection of critical/high bugs prior to UAT
Reduce automated suite execution time through framework optimization
Onboard and upskill junior engineers to independent scripting level

Requirements

What you’ll need

Technical educational background
2-4 years of QA experience with automation focus
Good knowledge of QA and SDLC
Working experience in Agile environment
Good knowledge of web applications and web services
Familiarity with QA terminology and practices
Good understanding of OOP
Hands-on experience with programming/scripting languages; JAVA preferred
Hands-on experience writing automated tests
Understanding of basic design patterns: Page Object Model, Data Driven Testing, Reporting
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
Experience with Docker
