Run a caseload of pre- and post-litigation breach of agreement cases on behalf of tenants
Draft Applications for breach of agreement and specific performance
Draft Part 8 proceedings for breach of agreement
Review claimant and defendant surveyor’s reports
Negotiate and settle cases
Review general damages
Liaise with Counsel
Prepare Court Bundles and Briefs to Counsel
Address access and decant issues
Use claims management software while adhering to business processes and policies
Communicate with clients
Liaise with and build positive professional relationships across the business
Carry out other duties as required to assist in the smooth running of the business

Requirements

What you’ll need

Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, such as the Landlord & Tenant Act and CPR Part 8 procedure
Experience handling breach of agreement cases
Ability to draft Applications for breach of agreement and specific performance
Ability to draft Part 8 proceedings for breach of agreement
Ability to review claimant and defendant surveyor’s reports
Negotiation and settlement skills
Ability to conduct general damages reviews
Ability to liaise with Counsel
Ability to prepare Court Bundles and Briefs to Counsel
Familiarity with access and decant issues
Competent and effective use of claims management software
Ability to communicate effectively with clients
Ability to build positive and professional relationships across the business
