About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a caseload of debt recovery and enforcement matters
  • Review settlement agreements, judgments, Court Orders and costs schedules to identify sums due and ensure compliance with agreed payment terms
  • Monitor payment deadlines and take prompt action where sums remain unpaid
  • Prepare and send letters before action and formal demands
  • Control and enforce legal damages, costs and disbursements
  • Negotiate associated legal fees and expenses
  • Issue Part 8 Proceedings and make enforcement applications
  • Prepare N260 schedules
  • Liaise with clients, Defendants, Courts, external enforcement agents and other third parties
  • Work to deadlines

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in debt recovery, civil litigation, costs recovery and enforcement
  • Strong knowledge of County Court procedures and civil litigation
  • Experience pursuing unpaid judgments, damages and costs
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Commercial and pragmatic approach to recovery
  • Case Management System experience
  • Solicitor qualification implied by the role title and requirements
