About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the availability of materials, components, and supplies required for operations
Manage the entire purchasing process, from needs analysis through purchase order issuance
Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate supplier proposals to secure the best terms for cost, quality, and delivery timelines
Maintain and develop long-term supplier relationships and identify new sourcing opportunities
Follow up on orders, deliveries, and invoicing to ensure adherence to schedules and transaction compliance
Optimize inventory management by ensuring adequate stock availability and minimizing the risk of stockouts
Analyze procurement data and recommend improvements to increase operational efficiency and profitability
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with applicable procedures and standards
Collaborate with suppliers that may be located outside Quebec

Requirements

What you’ll need

College diploma (DEC) or university degree in procurement, operations management, business administration, or a related field
An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
5 to 8 years of experience in procurement, ideally in the electronics, manufacturing, or mechanical sectors
Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or high-tech environment is a significant asset
Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written (advanced level)
Experience in procurement and supplier management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience with an ERP system (SAP Business One is an asset)
Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
Proactive, solution-oriented approach with a focus on continuous improvement
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a changing environment
Collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills
