About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own ESG management, from B Corp certification through carbon accounting
  • Maintain the B Impact Assessment, prepare for recertification, and implement new B Lab standards
  • Further develop and implement the sustainability strategy, with a focus on the supply chain, suppliers, and packaging
  • Prepare and update the Scope 1–3 carbon inventory and derive emissions-reduction measures
  • Respond to sustainability inquiries from retail partners and investors
  • Monitor regulatory developments, including the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, environmental claims, and CSRD/VSME, and ensure compliance
  • Embed sustainability across the team through training, internal communications, and impact-related initiatives
  • Support the COO in developing their areas of responsibility and strategic projects, with a focus on retail development
  • Lead cross-functional projects, including new retail partners as well as product portfolio and channel initiatives
  • Prepare analyses, business cases, and KPI reporting to support decision-making
  • Prepare for and follow up on management, Board, and partner meetings
  • Manage interfaces between Retail, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, and Finance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed degree in sustainability management, environmental science, business administration, or a related field
  • Several years of experience in sustainability or ESG management, ideally in FMCG, food, or pet care
  • Experience with B Corp (B Impact Assessment and certification) and carbon accounting
  • Experience in project management; close collaboration with senior leadership is preferred
  • Analytical, structured, and hands-on approach
  • Confident and professional communication with management, retail partners, and suppliers
  • Fluent in German and English
