About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud licensing revenue as a subject matter expert and trusted consultant
  • Lead, co-lead, or support presales conversations based on deal complexity and sales needs
  • Conduct discovery conversations and translate customer needs into tailored licensing recommendations
  • Develop and present solution proposals with licensing configurations, cost comparisons, and migration or optimization roadmaps
  • Work with vendors to secure discounts, promotions, and special pricing
  • Generate demand, respond to customer inquiries, and advance opportunities through the sales cycle
  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert for technical licensing questions
  • Own end-to-end onboarding for new CSP customers
  • Coordinate welcome communications, licensing transitions, subscription reassignments, and cancellation of prior partner subscriptions
  • Maintain onboarding documentation, welcome materials, and process guides
  • Set customer expectations regarding timelines, next steps, and points of contact
  • Resolve onboarding issues and escalate to the Director of Cloud & Procurement Services when appropriate
  • Own Microsoft 365 and Azure renewal lifecycles from outreach through signed renewal
  • Prepare renewal reports, contracts, presentations, and customer communications
  • Assess customer satisfaction, identify growth opportunities, and mitigate churn risk
  • Analyze usage and licensing utilization data for renewal and optimization recommendations
  • Align renewal strategy with account plans and expansion opportunities
  • Maintain renewal pipeline data and provide status updates to the Director
  • Build and review customer quotes using Excel and PandaDoc
  • Update quoting price lists monthly
  • Review and approve CSP and Microsoft licensing quotes and contracts for accuracy and compliance
  • Support Microsoft Co-sell opportunity entry and management in Partner Center
  • Register client projects through CPOR and maintain incentive eligibility
  • Monitor Partner Center data accuracy and compliance
  • Track Microsoft updates affecting CSP rules, NCE pricing, terms, incentives, designations, and M365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, and Power Platform roadmaps
  • Serve as primary escalation resource for licensing, technical, and process issues
  • Handle escalated Microsoft 365 and Azure licensing support cases
  • Review team work product, provide feedback, and identify training opportunities
  • Develop internal guidance, FAQs, and process resources
  • Assist with onboarding, mentoring, and coaching junior teammates
  • Maintain advanced Microsoft licensing and CSP knowledge and support Direct Bill and incentive eligibility
  • Collaborate with Channel, sales, technical, and finance teams
  • Provide backup support during absences or high-volume periods
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) programs and Partner Center
  • Experience with subscription management, CPOR claims, co-sell deal registration, incentive program compliance, and GDAP relationship administration
  • Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft New Commerce Experience (NCE), including subscription lifecycles, pricing models, term commitments, and legacy CSP to NCE transitions
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft licensing programs including CSP, NCE, and Open Value
  • Working knowledge of Azure consumption billing and subscription management
  • Experience in a presales, solutions consulting, or customer-facing sales role
  • Ability to lead technical conversations, present to customers, and convert opportunities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven technical troubleshooting skills for licensing provisioning issues, subscription transfers, and Partner Center operational problems
  • Adherence to tight SLAs, prioritization, and deadlines
  • Proficiency with quoting and contract management systems; PandaDoc and ConnectWise preferred
  • Strong analytical skills for reviewing usage data and developing optimization recommendations
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the full Microsoft 365 suite, including advanced Excel skills
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented; able to manage high volumes across multiple customers and workstreams
  • Self-motivated problem-solver able to work independently and support team efficiency
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, along with 4+ years of directly relevant experience
  • Equivalent combinations of education and highly relevant work experience will be considered
  • Active Microsoft Licensing Fundamentals Certification required
  • Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900) and/or Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) strongly preferred
  • Required certifications not held at hire must be obtained within 90 days of employment
  • Certifications must be maintained and kept current throughout employment
  • Availability Monday through Friday, 7am to 4pm Pacific Time, with occasional availability outside these hours
  • Must communicate in written and spoken English
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility verified through E-Verify
  • Ability to meet physical, attendance, communication, and productivity requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation
