About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct Pre-Attorney and Post-Attorney Reviews of 12–15 packages weekly, ensuring motions and filings meet legal and formatting standards
- Assign and balance the team’s caseload, including Court/ICE cases, USCIS motions, SIJ, and declarations, according to complexity and availability
- Maintain a master deadline calendar
- Implement at least one process improvement every two weeks involving documents, templates, or automations
- Verify adoption of process improvements in the team’s daily work
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 2 years of demonstrable experience at immigration law firms, with direct and active handling of cases before the Immigration Court (EOIR / removal defense)
- Fluent Spanish and English speaking and writing skills (minimum B2 level)
- Prior experience supervising, coordinating, or leading paralegals or legal staff, preferably in remote environments
- Mastery of EOIR procedures, including Master Calendar Hearings, Individual Hearings, BIA appeal process, and e-filing
- Ability to review and validate Continuance, Change of Venue, Reopen, Reconsider, Terminate, Withdraw, Administrative Closure, and Bond motions
- Knowledge of immigration relief available in removal proceedings, including asylum, cancellation of removal, and adjustment of status
- Willingness to personally step into a case or motion and set an example for the team
