About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and grow an automotive aftermarket filtration product portfolio across its lifecycle
- Identify product gaps, application opportunities and portfolio expansion priorities
- Identify new product introduction opportunities using market, vehicle parc, OE and competitor data
- Develop business cases and drive product launches through market availability
- Analyse competitor products, pricing, application coverage and positioning
- Support pricing, positioning, business cases and commercial targets
- Develop launch plans, product value propositions, catalogues and sales-enablement materials
- Support sales and distributor requirements
- Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance and Marketing to ensure launch readiness
- Resolve cross-functional execution issues
- Maintain product/application data and dashboards
- Analyse sales and launch performance to support portfolio decisions
- Deliver revenue and growth of the assigned product portfolio, new product launches, portfolio coverage expansion and commercial performance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automotive, Mechanical, Mechatronics or a related technical discipline
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in the automotive industry, preferably in Automotive Aftermarket, Auto Components, Automotive Parts, Product Management, Product Development / NPI, Business Development or Commercial / Category Management
- Understanding of automotive products and the Independent Aftermarket (IAM) business
- Experience in product portfolio management and/or New Product Introduction
- Ability to work with OE numbers, competitor references and vehicle/application data
- Strong market research, competitor analysis and commercial acumen
- Business-case development and analytical problem-solving skills
- Strong project and stakeholder management capabilities
- Ability to work effectively with Sales, Engineering, Sourcing and Supply Chain
- Excellent communication, presentation and MS Excel / PowerPoint skills
- MBA / PGDM in Marketing, Strategy or Business Management is preferred
- Prior experience with automotive aftermarket products, distributors, dealers or channel partners is preferred
- Experience in automotive filtration or other replacement parts
- Experience managing a large SKU / part-number portfolio
- Exposure to automotive cataloguing and application data
- Working knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar analytical tools
- Experience supporting launches across multiple brands or markets
