About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Technical overall responsibility for global innovation and customer projects involving home-appliance filter elements
- Develop new technical concepts, technologies, and products for the home-appliance sector
- Contribute to customer and innovation projects from ideation through start of series production
- Ensure technical development targets are met while taking cost targets into account
- Review and analyze customer requirements and define and align the specifications document
- Engineer home-appliance filter elements for customer, innovation, and independent aftermarket projects
- Plan, budget, document, and manage technical validation activities
- Create, coordinate, and maintain development-related documentation
- Plan, conduct, evaluate, and document benchmark analyses
- Conduct project- and product-related patent analyses and evaluations
- Contribute to patent applications and patent development
- Collaborate with international project teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Successfully completed degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, plastics engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable qualification
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the development of filtration systems; experience in the home-appliance sector is desirable
- Strong systems expertise in filtration systems and plastics engineering
- In-depth understanding of reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Basic knowledge of project management
- Excellent knowledge of the home-appliance sector and its development processes
- Proficient user knowledge of MS Office
- Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken, at a business-negotiation level
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
- Strong drive to shape and improve processes, combined with enthusiasm for cross-functional collaboration
- Self-directed working style and strong team orientation
- Strong problem-solving skills and assertiveness
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
