About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supervise launching performance and take a leading role in project transfer
  • Support the CI process team with process and quality improvements
  • Participate in project activities during the RFQ phase and provide process data
  • Determine and develop manufacturing concepts, including process layouts
  • Specify required machines, tools, and fixtures using available standards
  • Define required process schedules and personnel
  • Verify and confirm product manufacturing feasibility
  • Set up and update Standardized Work Charts
  • Conduct Process FMEA and contribute to Design FMEA
  • Check equipment needs and prepare capital expenditure requests for approval
  • Develop required process documentation according to applicable standards
  • Ensure short- and long-term process capability and equipment safety requirements
  • Lead project sample manufacturing, including internal performance testing
  • Lead new process and technology rollouts within the team
  • Attend project team meetings, report status, and cooperate with team members
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent education and experience in the field of Engineering
  • 4 years of relevant work experience in Production Planning
  • Knowledge of Lean Production Principles, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, etc.
  • Knowledge in ISO/TS 16949 required
  • Ability to travel
  • Experience and knowledge in APQP tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA, etc.)
  • Proficient use of IT-tools (MS Office, cProjects, CIMDATABASE, SAP…)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Positive attitude with good interpersonal skills and ability to support a team environment
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to productively work alone or in a team environment
  • Effective communication, include speaking, writing, active listening skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Self-initiative and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong understanding of safety requirements
  • Must be able to read, understand and comply with written and verbal instructions, company processes and procedures and safety policies
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to work in temperature conditions between 45 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit; may occasionally exceed 95 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical equipment, forklifts, and other machinery
  • Regularly required to talk or hear; frequently required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, use hands, reach, and lift with hands and arms up to 50 pounds
