About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Train associates to standardized work and monitor compliance
- Ensure correct documentation and tools are present
- Ensure cell startup checks and documentation are completed
- Inspect the first piece to release production
- Ensure the cell meets hourly productivity rates
- Document and correctly dispose of all defects and scrap
- Stop the line when abnormalities are found and determine whether standardized work is clear enough for associates to identify abnormalities
- Analyze defects and perform rework repairs as soon as possible
- Support line associates when problems occur
- Communicate with other shifts and exchange information during shift changes
- Interact with peers, the shift supervisor, and cell associates
- Follow 5S, ensure cleanliness and cell preparation for runs, empty designated bins at shift end, and attend 5S audits
- Plan 5S workshops and facilitate resulting action plans
- Update and post required paperwork, charts, and graphs
- Communicate with the Supervisor and recommend continuous improvement activities
- Audit and maintain TPM
- Track action plans resulting from TPM workshops and audits
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma/GED
- 1 ~ 3 yrs. Manufacturing Experience
- Working Knowledge of Production Basics
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Practices and 5S
