About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and identify new business opportunities for defined customers or markets
  • Lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the sales team
  • Ensure team members follow developed strategies
  • Steer strategic and operational planning processes and target agreements with the local sales force
  • Review and monitor existing customer contacts
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies
  • Maintain positive and strategic business relationships with assigned customers and markets
  • Review and monitor sales performance to ensure long-term goals are met
  • Conduct contract negotiations with customers in cooperation with the Director of Industrial
  • Monitor accounts receivable and resolve issues or define countermeasures
  • Plan, implement, and control the cost budget
  • Initiate and steer corrective actions
  • Monitor market and industry trends, define market prices, and initiate target costing
  • Observe and analyze competitor situations and market trends
  • Coordinate regional project activities and support regional teams and networking
  • Forecast customer and market trends
  • Guide, motivate, and develop directly and indirectly subordinate employees
  • Ensure the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, and directed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in one or more Industrial Manufacturing industries
  • Minimum 2 years of team leadership experience
  • Customer orientation, organization, and coordination skills
  • Self-initiative and ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent verbal, written, English presentation, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with relevant IT tools, including MS Office
  • OE Sales Management experience
  • Financially driven
  • General contract negotiation experience
  • Experience with compressors, machine tooling, and/or heavy-duty equipment manufacturing strongly preferred
