About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conceptualize and create innovative designs meeting product specifications and cost targets
  • Design and develop filtration systems
  • Conceptualize complex new product designs, changes, and concepts to meet internal and external product specifications, cost, and timing
  • Work with cross-functional teams to evaluate product designs and specifications, determine feasibility, and minimize development and manufacturing costs
  • Collaborate with operations to understand process capabilities and provide product design recommendations aligned with production strategies
  • Coordinate computer-aided engineering (CAE) activities to analytically validate product designs
  • Analyze results to optimize designs for performance, robust manufacturing, and cost efficiency
  • Complete CAD tasks assigned by the Lead Product Engineer and/or Manager – Design & Development
  • Occasionally coordinate and review engineering and CAD tasks with GBTS
  • Participate in and support Kaizen/DLS workshops and annual objectives
  • Complete required tasks for each Gate per xSEP process

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Vocational Training or Comparable Qualification in Engineering or Related fields
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Familiarity with Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA)
  • Basic understanding of fluid dynamics
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent task organization and time management skills to meet project deadlines
  • Flexibility for travel and attendance at Filtration training in Europe
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience (including internships) (preferred)
  • Proficiency in NX, CATIA, or Creo (preferred)
  • Background in the Heavy-Duty (HD) or Automotive industry (preferred)
  • Experience with casting and injection molding (preferred)
  • Previous involvement in filtration projects (preferred)
