About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Forecast, plan, and schedule daily production and safety workflow based on customer orders and inventory
- Collaborate with Production Supervisors to define production schedule priorities
- Release products to appropriate departments
- Use the company ERP system to create and analyze reports and determine scheduling methods
- Monitor job progress from creation through completion
- Enter inventory information and confirm physical inventory when needed
- Analyze inventory and delivery problems and recommend solutions
- Identify potential conflicts throughout production phases to minimize errors and maximize customer experience
- Provide data for forecasts, estimates, schedules of goods in process, and future-order needs
- Read and write reports as necessary
- Ensure safety and quality goals are met
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years’ minimum proven planning / scheduling experience within a fast-paced manufacturing/industrial environment
- Must be a forward thinker, self-starter, motivated, and dependable
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Strong computer skills including MS Office products; Excel reporting using pivot tables and V-Look up required
- Prior experience working within an ERP system
- Must be able to read, interpret, understand and follow instructions, product labels, safety rules, operation and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and schedules
- Acute observation skills to ensure the safety of those around them
- Effective verbal and written communication, as well as acute listening skills
- Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team environment
- Associate’s Degree in a Business Discipline (preferred)
- Planning, Inventory Management, or other related certification (preferred)
- SAP ERP experience (preferred)
