About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan and oversee daily work schedules and staff assignments
- Supervise, train, coach, evaluate, and develop team members in accordance with company policies
- Monitor employee performance, attendance, adherence to procedures, and customer expectations
- Promote and enforce safety, quality, and housekeeping (5S) standards
- Minimize overtime and improve operational efficiency through process standardization and continuous improvement
- Coordinate with production and plant leadership to meet business objectives
- Track production output, identify issues, and implement corrective actions
- Ensure staffing and workflow support production demands and customer needs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environment
- Experience with hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and employee development
- Knowledge of production scheduling, material management, and lean manufacturing principles preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; ERP/Sage experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and lead teams effectively
- Forklift certification/experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work safely at all times
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to work in temperature conditions between 45 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit; temperatures may occasionally exceed 95 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach/lift with hands and arms up to 50 pounds
