About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work in Supplier Quality throughout the entire lifecycle of purchased parts
  • Monitor and ensure the quality of purchased parts and materials
  • Serve as the liaison with suppliers on APQP and series production quality matters
  • Support the project team in assessing the risks associated with purchased parts and suppliers
  • Initiate and monitor APQP processes for purchased parts, ensuring adherence to schedules
  • Ensure the flow of technical and quality information between MANN+HUMMEL and suppliers
  • Escalate critical delays to the project team
  • Review ISIR/PPAP documentation and clarify the acceptability of deviations
  • Conduct process approvals and production-readiness checks at supplier facilities
  • Communicate lessons learned and support APQP standardization and continuous improvement
  • Plan and organize incoming inspection, including quarantine, sorting, and rework
  • Manage supplier quality complaints (8D/RPS)
  • Ensure the robustness of suppliers’ corrective actions, including on-site validation
  • Analyze supplier performance monthly using VRS
  • Escalate underperforming suppliers to Purchasing and SQD
  • Lead supplier improvement programs and apply CSL1/CSL2 requirements
  • Plan and conduct supplier audits
  • Manage the regular requalification of purchased components
  • Coordinate supplier-related deviations, concessions, and changes within the TCM process
  • Stop deliveries of purchased parts in cases of nonconformity related to customer expectations, safety, or environmental regulations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, or an equivalent field
  • 1–2 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or Production roles in the relevant industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of the application of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements
  • Specialization in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and knowledge of standard quality tools, such as FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, Initial Sample Inspection, Run@Rate, and inspection methods
  • Ability to interpret drawings and requirements to ensure compliance with agreed quality parameters
  • Experience in product and process auditing
  • Ability to train suppliers in additional quality and lean techniques, such as DOE, continuous improvement programs, and lean manufacturing tools
  • Advanced English proficiency
  • Willingness to travel
  • VDA 6.3 Certified Auditor or equivalent is a plus
  • Specialization in Customer-Specific Requirements is a plus
