About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work in Supplier Quality throughout the entire lifecycle of purchased parts
  • Monitor and ensure the quality of purchased parts and materials
  • Serve as the liaison with suppliers on APQP and series-production quality matters
  • Support the project team in assessing part and supplier risks
  • Initiate APQP processes for purchased parts and consolidate requirements in the PRFPP
  • Ensure the flow of technical and quality information between MANN+HUMMEL and suppliers
  • Monitor supplier APQP progress and escalate critical delays
  • Review ISIR/PPAP documentation and clarify the acceptability of deviations
  • Conduct process releases and production-readiness reviews at suppliers, including Run@Rate
  • Communicate lessons learned and support APQP standardization and continuous improvement
  • Plan and organize Incoming Material Inspection, including quarantine, sorting, and rework
  • Manage supplier quality complaints using 8D/RPS
  • Ensure the robustness of suppliers’ corrective actions, including on-site validation
  • Analyze supplier performance monthly through VRS
  • Escalate underperforming suppliers to Purchasing and SQD
  • Lead supplier improvement programs and apply CSL1/CSL2 requirements
  • Plan and conduct supplier audits, focusing on processes and products
  • Manage the regular requalification of purchased components
  • Coordinate supplier deviations, concessions, and changes through Technical Change Management (TCM)
  • Stop deliveries of purchased parts in the event of nonconformities related to customers, safety, or environmental regulations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, or an equivalent field
  • 1–2 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or Production roles within the relevant industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of the application of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements
  • Expertise in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and knowledge of standard quality tools, including FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, Initial Sample Inspection, Run@Rate, and inspection methods
  • Ability to interpret drawings and requirements to ensure compliance with agreed quality parameters
  • Experience in product and process auditing
  • VDA 6.3 certified auditor or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to train suppliers in additional quality and lean techniques, including DOE, continuous improvement programs, and lean manufacturing tools
  • Expertise in Customer-Specific Requirements preferred
  • Advanced English proficiency
  • Willingness to travel
