About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform and review monthly and annual accounting close processes
Ensure the accurate accounting treatment of company transactions
Prepare audited annual financial statements
Prepare monthly and annual reports for headquarters
Prepare statutory and IFRS financial statements and accounting reports
Support the control and analysis of fixed assets, depreciation, and investments
Assess and provide guidance on the classification of expenses and investments (OPEX vs. CAPEX)
Serve as the SAP FI/Accounting Key User, supporting enhancements, configuration, testing, and training
Act as the Finance/Accounting point of contact for corporate projects
Participate in the implementation of new business systems and tools
Develop and improve internal controls and Finance/Accounting processes
Support the Finance/Accounting team
Collaborate with IT, Procurement, Tax, Foreign Trade, Legal, and Operations teams
Ensure the company’s registration and tax compliance with the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service
Monitor and administer access and communications through e-CAC and the Electronic Judicial Domicile (DJE)
Support internal and external audits and government tax inspections
Support Transfer Pricing studies and corporate requests
Manage insurance policies with the group’s broker
Prepare quarterly and annual reports for the Central Bank of Brazil
Calculate and record monthly and annual IRPJ/CSLL provisions
Prepare and file ECD/ECF statutory tax obligations
Support tax incentive programs under the Lei do Bem and MOVER legislation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Active CRC registration
Solid experience in general accounting and IFRS and Local GAAP close processes
Advanced knowledge of fixed assets, CAPEX, and OPEX
Experience with SAP FI as a Key User or advanced user
Experience with process implementation and improvement projects
Knowledge of tax compliance and regulatory reporting obligations
Advanced English, with the ability to communicate orally and in writing in an international corporate environment
A postgraduate degree in a related field will be considered an advantage
