About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead site logistics, materials management, inventory control, production planning, receiving, warehousing, and shipping functions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing methodologies
  • Support inventory reduction while maintaining operational efficiency and customer delivery requirements
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Sales, Planning, Procurement, and Operations teams to optimize material flow and inventory strategies
  • Ensure effective production planning and level loading
  • Develop and maintain PFEP, replenishment strategies, and standardized material flow processes
  • Monitor logistics KPIs including inventory turns, fill rate, on-time delivery, material variance, and overall supply chain performance
  • Lead logistics and transportation support activities
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations for forklifts, powered industrial trucks, and material handling equipment
  • Lead material handling and warehouse process improvements
  • Manage supervisors and team members in material planning, receiving, inventory management, and shipping departments
  • Conduct hiring, coaching, performance management, and employee development activities
  • Manage non-conforming materials and corrective actions
  • Ensure logistics and production planning activities are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with customer and supplier requirements
  • Improve operational procedures and standardize processes
  • Foster communication and collaboration across site leadership, support functions, and sales teams
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, materials management, supply chain, or manufacturing operations
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment required
  • Experience with inventory management, production planning, warehousing, and distribution operations
  • Lean Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP preferred
  • Strong understanding of material flow, inventory optimization, and supply chain processes
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and develop employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing plant environment with exposure to forklifts, powered industrial equipment, and warehouse operations
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions within a production facility
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and material handling activities
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
