About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive material plans based on demand forecasts and coordinate with internal and external suppliers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze demand forecasts, market trends, and customer requirements
  • Monitor inventory levels and optimize inventory turnover, stockouts, and excess or obsolete inventory
  • Develop production schedules with production teams to align with demand forecasts and inventory targets
  • Maintain supplier relationships, ensure timely delivery, resolve supply issues, and improve supplier performance
  • Coordinate with logistics and distribution teams to ensure on-time customer delivery while minimizing transportation costs and optimizing delivery routes
  • Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies, including alternative sourcing, safety stock, and contingency plans
  • Drive process improvements and implement best practices to reduce lead times and optimize supply chain performance
  • Use supply chain management tools and systems to analyze data, generate reports, and provide actionable recommendations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2+ years of proven experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, or related roles within a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Strong knowledge of MRP systems, inventory management, order management and material planning
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Strong communication for effective collaboration with teams and suppliers
  • Problem-solving abilities to mitigate supply chain risks and optimize processes
  • Relationship management skills for fostering positive collaborations
  • Adaptability to changing business needs and multiple project management
  • Experience with SAP ERP system – MM, PP and WM modules
  • Advanced data analysis and modeling skills beyond Excel such as Power BI
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the automotive or industrial sector
  • Certification or training in supply chain management or related fields
  • Familiarity with lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, or other process improvement frameworks
