About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and operate the data platform on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring reliability, performance, and availability
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformations using BigQuery (SQL) and Dataform
  • Work with GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Dataproc, and Log Explorer
  • Monitor and troubleshoot the GCP data platform and associated services
  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls and data privacy requirements across data processes and access
  • Support and develop reports and dashboards using Power BI, SAC, Looker technologies, and the Looker semantic layer

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7 to 10+ yrs of experience in data engineering, with a focus on cloud based solutions
  • Experience and knowledge in Data Forms, BigQuery (SQL), Power BI, and SOX expertise
  • Data Engineering Technician with knowledge in Data Forms and BigQuery (SQL)
  • Proven experience in the management and operation of the platform on Google Cloud Platform and associated services
  • Technical specialization in data transformation and usage on Google Cloud services/components
  • Experience with GCP development, for example Cloud Run
  • Knowledge of GCP architecture
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform and VMs, Buckets, Cloud SQL, Dataproc, and Log Explorer
  • Working experience in SOX controls and data privacy
  • Knowledge of data governance, Knowledge Catalog/Dataplex, and Truedat tools, complemented with security and SOX
  • Experience supporting and developing reports and dashboards using Power BI, SAC, Looker technologies, and Looker semantic layer
  • Experience in Fabric valued
  • Fluent English and Spanish
