Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage the Roofing & Building Envelope Design practice across all regions
  • Establish and execute the strategic vision, goals, processes, and performance standards for the group
  • Create scalable delivery models and standard operating procedures to support growth
  • Develop staffing plans and organizational structures for current and future workload demands
  • Foster accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence
  • Serve as the senior technical authority for roofing and building envelope design projects
  • Oversee preparation and review of roof replacement designs, repair specifications, bid documents, construction details, and building envelope assessments
  • Guide technical approaches for complex roofing, waterproofing, façade, and enclosure projects
  • Oversee design and consulting projects from assessment through closeout
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to contract requirements
  • Implement and maintain QA/QC processes across deliverables
  • Participate in project reviews, risk management discussions, and constructability evaluations
  • Monitor resource utilization and project performance metrics
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to key clients and strategic accounts
  • Participate in executive-level client meetings, presentations, and planning discussions
  • Support roof asset management programs and capital planning initiatives
  • Develop long-term client relationships that drive recurring revenue and expanded services
  • Partner with Operations and Sales teams on project execution and client satisfaction
  • Support proposals, interviews, scope development, and technical presentations
  • Identify opportunities to expand roofing and building envelope services
  • Collaborate with Market Leaders across C&I, MUSH, Food & Beverage, Banking, and Corporate Real Estate sectors
  • Support strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and integration efforts
  • Assist with annual growth, revenue, and margin objectives
  • Recruit, develop, and retain consulting and design talent
  • Conduct performance management, career development, and succession planning
  • Support professional certifications and industry involvement
  • Build a collaborative, accountable, customer-focused team environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in commercial roofing, roof consulting, building envelope consulting, design, architecture, engineering, or related disciplines
  • 7+ years of leadership experience managing technical consulting, design, engineering, or professional services teams
  • Demonstrated experience leading multi-location teams and complex project portfolios
  • Strong expertise in commercial roofing systems
  • Strong expertise in building envelope and façade systems
  • Strong expertise in waterproofing systems
  • Strong expertise in building assessments
  • Strong expertise in construction administration
  • Strong expertise in design specifications
  • Strong expertise in capital planning and asset management
  • Experience serving large portfolio clients across multiple facilities and geographic locations
  • Proven ability to manage financial performance, resource planning, and operational execution
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship management skills
  • Preferred: Registered Roof Consultant (RRC)
  • Preferred: Registered Roof Observer (RRO)

  • Architectural license is not required
