About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage the Roofing & Building Envelope Design practice across all regions
- Establish and execute the strategic vision, goals, processes, and performance standards for the group
- Create scalable delivery models and standard operating procedures to support growth
- Develop staffing plans and organizational structures for current and future workload demands
- Foster accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence
- Serve as the senior technical authority for roofing and building envelope design projects
- Oversee roof replacement designs, repair specifications, bid documents, construction details, and building envelope assessments
- Guide technical approaches for complex roofing, waterproofing, façade, and enclosure projects
- Promote industry best practices, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions
- Oversee design and consulting projects from assessment through closeout
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to contract requirements
- Implement and maintain QA/QC processes across deliverables
- Participate in project reviews, risk management discussions, and constructability evaluations
- Monitor resource utilization and project performance metrics
- Serve as trusted advisor to key clients and strategic accounts
- Participate in executive-level client meetings, presentations, and planning discussions
- Support roof asset management programs and capital planning initiatives
- Develop long-term client relationships driving recurring revenue and expanded services
- Partner with Operations and Sales teams on project execution and client satisfaction
- Support proposals, interviews, scope development, and technical presentations
- Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts
- Collaborate with Market Leaders across C&I, MUSH, Food & Beverage, Banking, and Corporate Real Estate sectors
- Support strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and integration efforts
- Assist with annual growth, revenue, and margin objectives
- Recruit, develop, and retain consulting and design talent
- Conduct performance management, career development, and succession planning
- Build a collaborative, accountable, customer-service-focused team
Requirements
What you’ll need- 15+ years of progressive experience in commercial roofing, roof consulting, building envelope consulting, design, architecture, engineering, or related disciplines
- 7+ years of leadership experience managing technical consulting, design, engineering, or professional services teams
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-location teams and complex project portfolios
- Strong expertise in commercial roofing systems
- Strong expertise in building envelope and façade systems
- Strong expertise in waterproofing systems
- Strong expertise in building assessments
- Strong expertise in construction administration
- Strong expertise in design specifications
- Strong expertise in capital planning and asset management
- Experience serving large portfolio clients across multiple facilities and geographic locations
- Proven ability to manage financial performance, resource planning, and operational execution
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship management skills
- Full-time availability with travel and schedule flexibility based on client needs, project deadlines, and leadership responsibilities
