About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct compliance, Fire, Health & Safety and Environmental audits and risk assessments at all sites within scope according to the audit schedule
  • Carry out risk assessments in line with best practice and legal requirements
  • Facilitate external audits with certification bodies in accordance with UKAS requirements
  • Provide training as required
  • Provide advice and guidance while undertaking assessments and audits
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legal and other requirements
  • Progress identified non-conformities to satisfactory conclusions
  • Develop relationships with clients, teams and suppliers to support innovation and influence service delivery
  • Identify root causes and collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives
  • Report to the Principal Client Lead - HSE
  • Work as part of the Risk and Assurance team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role in Real Estate or Facilities Management would be desirable
  • Clean driving licence
  • Essential NEBOSH National General Certificate
  • Essential NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management, or NEBOSH Fire Safety, or over 5 years’ experience
  • Experience leading the planning and delivery of audits
  • Experience conducting combined HS&E audits
  • Experience conducting Fire Risk Assessments
  • Experience running unplanned incident preparedness tests and fire drills
  • Experience carrying out Emergency Preparedness testing
  • Equivalent to or working towards NCRQ Level 6 Diploma in Health and Safety
  • Minimum Tech IOSH essential; Graduate Member of IOSH desirable
  • Legionella and Legionnaires Disease Awareness desirable
  • ISO 45001:2018 Internal Auditor course desirable or willingness to complete
  • IEMA Internal Auditor course desirable or willingness to complete
  • Legal right to work in the UK by the start date of employment
  • Ability to conduct and provide training as required
  • Ability to ensure compliance with applicable legal and other requirements
  • Ability to progress non-conformities to satisfactory conclusions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to self-manage, take initiative, meet deadlines and prioritise work
