About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain and improve the company-wide financial model
Produce up-to-date income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow projections
Use AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Copilot in Excel for model building, scenario analysis, and variance commentary drafts
Identify trends in financial performance and recommend improvements
Report and analyze monthly results for executives, department heads, and investors
Track actuals against plan and write variance analyses
Prepare monthly board reporting and financial slides for quarterly board meetings
Support financial due diligence for capital raises and M&A transactions
Build models from scratch and adapt existing models to support business decisions
Handle ad hoc analysis and projects
Identify and automate manual, repetitive steps in reporting, forecasting, and close using AI assistants, scripts, or workflow tools
Build reusable prompts, templates, and lightweight tools for the Finance team
Help establish AI guardrails for data accuracy, review steps, and confidential information protection
Stay current on AI capabilities and pilot useful tools
Analyze growth, costs, user metrics, and market trends
Identify risks and opportunities and make actionable recommendations
Assist with month-end close, reconciliations, and compliance reporting
Automate accounting operations where possible

Requirements

What you’ll need

2-3 Years of experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting or a closely related function
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, statistics, economics, or business administration
Advanced proficiency in Excel
Strong skills in PowerPoint
Skilled in working with financial databases, accounting systems, and related technologies
Strong attention to detail
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
Ability to understand and interpret complex data to all necessary stakeholders
Excellent time management and organizational ability to manage competing priorities
Demonstrated work ethic and strong desire to exceed expectations
Ability to work three days per week in-office at the Arlington, VA headquarters
