About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Execute commercial diving services, including underwater inspections and construction
Perform associated topside work
Set up dive stations and ensure all equipment functions as designed
Complete required daily safety sheets
Participate in and hold daily safety meetings
Understand and follow health and safety procedures
Perform basic construction tasks involving concrete, steel, carpentry, welding, and fabrication
Understand project scope and associated tasks
Understand line pull, rigging, and crane signals
Demonstrate proper rigging techniques
Complete assigned tasks and meet agreed-upon expectations
Perform shop and equipment maintenance as needed
Maintain current industry knowledge through professional organizations and other activities
Work collaboratively to promote safe conditions and actions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Commercial dive school certificate, US Navy dive training certificate, or ADCI dive certification card
3+ years of experience required
Current Blood Borne Pathogens certification
Current First Aid certification
Current CPR certification
Current DAN O2 Administration certification
Valid driver’s license
Current ADCI “Fit to Dive” physical
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks efficiently and effectively
Ability to work hard, remain motivated, and be a self-starter
Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds
Ability to work in rugged conditions and adverse weather
Ability to stand for up to eight hours or more at a time
Ability and availability to work overtime and outside normal working hours
Must meet Marine Solutions' Employment Eligibility Requirements
Adherence to required safety, health, and environmental procedures
Preferred: 10hr OSHA General Construction Course
Preferred: 30hr OSHA Construction Course
Preferred: Certified Welder
Preferred: Mechanic background
