About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute commercial diving services, including underwater inspections and construction
- Perform associated topside work
- Set up dive stations and ensure equipment functions as designed
- Complete daily safety sheets and participate in daily safety meetings
- Understand and follow health and safety procedures
- Understand project scope and associated tasks
- Complete assigned tasks and meet agreed-upon expectations
- Perform shop and equipment maintenance as needed
- Apply rigging techniques and respond to line pull and crane signals
- Work on marine construction and commercial diving projects
- Maintain current industry knowledge through professional organizations and other activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Commercial dive school certificate, US Navy dive training certificate, or ADCI dive certification card
- 3+ years of experience required
- Current Blood Borne Pathogens, First Aid, CPR, DAN O2 Administration certifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Current ADCI “Fit to Dive” physical
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks efficiently and effectively
- Basic construction skills including concrete, steel, carpentry, welding, and fabricating
- Understanding of line pull, rigging, and crane signals
- Ability to demonstrate proper rigging techniques
- Ability to work overtime and outside normal working hours
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds
- Ability to work in rugged conditions and adverse weather
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Preferred: 10hr OSHA General Construction Course
- Preferred: 30hr OSHA Construction Course
- Preferred: Certified Welder
- Preferred: Mechanic background
