About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate assigned engineering work
Coordinate and complete assigned technical activities on projects
Direct and/or perform field inspection and evaluation of structures
Direct and/or perform materials testing, interpret results, and incorporate findings into reports
Perform complex engineering computations involving conventional engineering practices
Prepare comprehensive engineering documents, including inspection reports, design plans, and specifications
Direct and supervise project engineers, technicians, drafters, and administrative staff
Participate in internal and external project meetings and resolve project issues
Assist with project planning, scheduling, forecasting, and quality
Assist with client management, proposal preparation, project scoping, and cost estimating
Monitor work for compliance with applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, internal procedures, and standards
Ensure effective communication and coordination among disciplines and project participants
Promote a safe work culture

Requirements

What you’ll need

Good technical knowledge, experience, and capabilities in area of practice
Good proficiency in computer-assisted engineering and office software and equipment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Bachelor's degree and/or master's degree in civil, structural or ocean engineering from an accredited four-year university
Minimum of 4 years of relevant engineering experience
Professional Engineer (PE)
ADCI Commercial Diver
Valid US Driver’s License
Must meet Marine Solutions' Employment Eligibility Requirements
Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds
Ability to work in rugged conditions and adverse weather and stand up to eight hours or more
Availability to work overtime and outside normal working hours as required
Current industry knowledge and expertise through professional organizations and/or other activities
Adherence to and participation in company safety, health, and environment requirements
