About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support a development team maintaining and enhancing targeting applications
Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug complex software applications
Develop solutions improving system performance, scalability, and distributed processing capabilities
Track and maintain highly technical data for analytical and troubleshooting activities
Collaborate with team members to retain and leverage technical information
Communicate with developers, stakeholders, and end users to clarify requirements and resolve technical obstacles
Develop and maintain full-stack software solutions
Support backend application development and API creation and integration
Develop and deploy applications within cloud-based and virtualized environments
Gather, analyze, and document application requirements with stakeholders
Participate in Agile software development activities
Collaborate within a team to achieve technical and mission objectives
Maintain current technical training and tradecraft
Share technical knowledge with the development team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Active TS/SCI with an FSP is required
Bachelor’s degree related to the technical discipline and at least 6 years of relevant experience; OR Associate’s degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience; OR no degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience
At least 2 years of full-stack software development experience
At least 2 years of experience developing applications using Node.js
At least 2 years of backend development and API development experience
At least 1 year of experience deploying applications within cloud-based or virtualized environments such as AWS, Azure, VMware, Docker, or Kubernetes
At least 2 years of experience engaging with stakeholders to gather and document requirements
At least 2 years of experience developing applications within an Agile environment
Strong communication and collaboration skills with developers, stakeholders, and end users
Desired: strong understanding of internet protocols and networking technologies, including MPLS and Ethernet VLANs
Desired: understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, Angular, or React
Desired: prior experience serving as a Scrum Master
