About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide oversight of the design and construction of structural systems for facility and infrastructure projects
- Support and review designs involving foundations, steel structures, and load-bearing systems
- Analyze structural integrity, weight loading, and stress factors to ensure safe and efficient designs
- Review and validate structural calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Perform or oversee structural analysis using tools such as ANSYS, GT STRUDL, or similar software
- Support welded and bolted connection design, including weld sizing and selection
- Ensure all structural designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and construction personnel
- Provide technical guidance during construction, including resolving field issues and reviewing contractor performance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering
- Active Top Secret clearance
- 5-10 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in construction
- Strong knowledge of structural design principles for facilities and infrastructure
- Experience with structural analysis and modeling tools (e.g., ANSYS, GT STRUDL, or similar)
- Experience with steel design, including welded and bolted connections
- Ability to review and develop structural calculations, drawings, and technical documentation
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
