About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and manage Walmart Scintilla data assets end to end, including category segmentation, data governance, reporting accuracy, and performance analysis for 30,000+ SKUs
- Develop and deliver weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual business performance reporting sourced from Scintilla
- Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover actionable insights, identify emerging trends, assess business risks, and recommend growth opportunities
- Provide data-driven analysis and strategic insights for business initiatives and go-to-market strategies
- Lead analytic initiatives that transform complex data into actionable recommendations
- Establish best practices for deep-dive analytics, dashboard design, KPI measurement, and scalable reporting frameworks
- Align cross-functional objectives, monitor performance metrics, and adapt strategies to evolving business needs
- Increase visibility into Walmart KPIs, scorecards, and benchmarks
- Communicate insights, trends, and strategic recommendations to leadership through storytelling and data visualization
- Analyze category performance, competitive landscape, brand share, pricing architecture, SKU productivity, assortment optimization, consumer trends, and whitespace opportunities
- Manage item creation and ongoing maintenance for portfolio products, including initial eCommerce product page content
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert on Scintilla and train cross-functional partners as needed
- Perform other duties as needed and directed by management
- Report directly to the VP, Walmart
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of analytical experience within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry, supporting the Walmart business
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, Economics, or a related discipline
- Hands-on experience working with Walmart Scintilla data required, including category, shopper, and performance analytics
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Expert-level Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, Pivot Tables, advanced conditional formatting, dashboard reporting, macros, VBA, and data modeling/simulation techniques
- Strong knowledge of syndicated and retailer data sources, including POS, loyalty/card, panel, and demographic datasets
- Experience leveraging platforms such as Scintilla, NielsenIQ, Circana (IRI), NPD, Numerator, and Spectra
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, high-impact insights
- Ability to independently source, interpret, and synthesize data and influence stakeholders across all levels
- Advanced hands-on data analysis skills, including extracting, structuring, and analyzing large and complex datasets
- Hands-on proficiency with Scintilla, including Channel Performance, Shopper Behavior, and Customer Perception modules
- Working knowledge of how Scintilla connects to Retail Link and Supplier One
- Proven experience developing insights from raw data and delivering concise, actionable recommendations
- Experience working in SKU-intensive or highly complex product environments
- Ability to lead through influence and drive decision-making through clear communication, storytelling, and data-driven narratives
- Knowledge of strategic thinking, business planning, data-driven decision-making, business and financial acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills, project and program management, cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder management, change leadership, executive communication, and retailer platform fluency
- Familiarity with Retail Link and Supplier One is a plus
