About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist the onshore broking team with developing, implementing and managing risk management and insurance programs
- Assist with developing and maintaining long-term relationships with client decision makers
- Understand clients' businesses, risk management and insurance needs
- Implement renewal and broking strategies
- Support additional business development, new business acquisition, account retention and defence strategies
- Assist with negotiating equitable claim settlements
- Monitor accuracy and performance of operations processing outputs
- Participate in client and insurer meetings as required
- Use required IT applications for compliance, accuracy, workload management, resource allocation and process improvement
- Produce and process client transactions, including premium and adjustment calculations, pre-renewal and broking meeting materials, renewal reports, insurance manuals and certificates of currency
- Facilitate work transitions between broking and operations teams and confirm output quality
- Maintain accurate client records
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Thorough understanding of all major classes of insurance offered to clients
- Thorough working knowledge of the Insurance (Agents & Brokers) Act, Insurance Contracts Act, Fire Services Levy, Stamp Duties, Worker's Compensation and other relevant legislation
- Basic understanding of relevant Insurance and related legislation
- Consistent use of required IT applications
- Compliance with company quality practices, systems and procedures
- Compliance with the company's errors and omissions avoidance policy
- Accurate maintenance of client records
- Ability to work with onshore broking, claims, operations, clients and insurers
