About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage an assigned client portfolio, including timely follow-up, accurate system entry of client activity, and securing reinsurance premiums
- Collaborate with departments to support collection efforts and cash application processes
- Oversee timely settlement of funds to and from clients while ensuring compliance with payment warranties and conditions
- Complete assigned tasks accurately according to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Provide detailed client-specific accounting and claims information to support sales opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with brokers, clients, and markets
- Understand client and market needs and resolve issues effectively
- Participate in team meetings, share knowledge, and contribute to team outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in excess of loss reinsurance and accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or risk management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage workload effectively
- Demonstrated teamwork skills with a positive attitude
- Proactive in offering and implementing process-improvement ideas
- Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
- (Re)Insurance and claims experience is a standout qualification
