About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide high-level expertise and manage claims under Directors & Officers, Professional Indemnity, and other financial lines classes of business to determine coverage
  • Serve as an advisor to a portfolio of SME to Corporate top ASX large clients
  • Build trust, deliver exceptional service, and maintain effective working relationships
  • Handle specialist financial lines claims with a focus on client advocacy
  • Provide technical advice and support from first notification through final settlement
  • Advise clients and brokers on policy coverage and interpretation
  • Advocate for clients regarding insurer indemnity denials
  • Respond to broker and client queries
  • Conduct meetings and liaise with clients, insurers, claimants, and external providers
  • Manage moderate to complex claims according to company processes and Client Service Agreements
  • Identify opportunities for claims referral
  • Collaborate with the Advocacy team on claims issues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of insurance claims experience, preferably in financial lines
  • Law Degree and experience in the legal environment and/or ANZIIF qualifications advantageous but not a prerequisite
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain and strengthen relationships with clients, insurers, and their respective agents and representatives
  • Willingness to go the extra mile for client satisfaction
  • Ambition to build a solid career foundation in the insurance industry
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team or autonomously
  • Appropriate approval to work in Australia
  • Successful applicants must complete a Criminal & Bankruptcy check prior to commencing employment
