About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Liaise directly and regularly with customers or their representatives, tailoring communication methods and frequency to customer needs and preferences
  • Take ownership of customer requests and issues and follow them through to completion
  • Record and monitor case details and claim progress using the Case Management workflow system
  • Liaise with internal and external parties as appropriate
  • Collate and review correspondence from claimants, including general queries, emails and specific requests, to build a complete case picture
  • Prepare recommendations for the Trustee in compliance with product rules and regulatory policy requirements
  • Manage claims for deceased estates, total and permanent disablement, permanent incapacity and terminal illness
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and coordinate with stakeholders including executors, beneficiaries, solicitors, advisers, insurers and the Trustee

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Previous claims experience, preferably in life, death or TPD
  • Experience liaising with legal, product and medical practitioners preferred but not essential
  • Knowledge of superannuation legislation desirable
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage each case with extreme sensitivity
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • RG 146 Compliant
  • Appropriate approval to work in Australia
  • Successful applicants must complete a Criminal & Bankruptcy check before commencement of employment
