About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Private Capital/Private Equity team through the deal transaction lifecycle, from opportunity identification through due diligence and post-transaction value realization
- Provide industry- and discipline-specific expertise to private equity clients
- Focus on one or more industries, including FinTech, InsurTech, Communications, Media and Technology, Education, Industrials, Aviation/Aerospace, Government & Defense, and Healthcare
- Participate in entrepreneurial work and contribute to the team’s growth
- Develop communication, presentation, analytical, and client management skills through on-the-job and formal training
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients across different cultures
- Work in the office or onsite with clients at least three days per week
Requirements
What you’ll need- Undergraduate or advanced degree from a strong academic program
- 1–3 years of pre- and/or post-transaction experience working in private equity at a management consulting or PE firm
- Professional experience with exposure to commercial and operational due diligence
- Knowledge of customer research techniques, including interviews, surveys, and focus groups
- Strong strategic problem-solving background with demonstrable analytical skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Initiative, creativity, and aptitude for analytical work
- Willingness to work fluidly and respectfully with the team
- Fluent in English
- Unrestricted work authorization for the United States; work authorization in Canada required for Toronto applicants
- No sponsorship available
- CPT and OPT are considered restricted forms of work authorization
