About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage annual planning timelines and ensure client deliverables, including Benefit Guides, are prepared on time
- Lead, document, and complete renewal implementation calls and paperwork with clients
- Hold carriers accountable for accuracy, timelines, and service expectations
- Produce accurate and timely materials and audit work to minimize errors
- Maintain client information in the agency management system
- Use resources and carrier partners to advocate for clients, solve problems, support client experience, and contribute to retention
- Maintain knowledge of applicable coverages, carrier guidelines, underwriting, and legislative changes
- Assist clients and teammates with administration, billing, claims, and problem-solving questions
- Project manage Employee Navigator or Plan Source plan builds for implementation and/or open enrollment
- Ensure accuracy of plan rules, rates, updates, electronic file feeds, and integrations
- Counsel clients on compliance deadlines for Form 5500, COBRA rate updates, ACA reporting, Annual Wrap Documents, Annual Notices, Medicare Part D credibility notices, and CMS Disclosure Emails
- Keep abreast of new products and legislative changes
- Perform other duties as requested by management
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active and current Florida 2-15 insurance license
- 2+ years of account management experience within an insurance agency and industry experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook and Word
- Detail oriented with strong time management and client relations skills, including excellent communication and presentation skills with service orientation, cooperative nature, and tactfulness to resolve client and company problems
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (plus, not required)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) (plus, not required)
- Experience with Employee Navigator, EPIC, BenefitPoint, and/or ImageRight (plus, not required)
- Ability to travel, occasionally overnight (plus, not required)
