About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and develop a global team of approximately 10 experienced professionals delivering Data Protection services
Drive successful delivery of Rubrik backup engineering solutions
Manage Data Backup and Recovery services, including provisioning, incident management, and compliance
Oversee vendor relationships, including negotiations, contracts, and management of software, firmware, and hardware
Manage budgets and financial planning for Data Protection infrastructure
Identify cost-saving opportunities and plan ahead
Manage Storage Services budgets, maintenance services, purchases, growth projections, and forecasts
Manage staff performance and development
Manage vendor specifications and execute change requests
Manage projects, track status, provide updates, and control project spending

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of technical experience with backup software and infrastructure
5+ years of hands-on experience with Rubrik
5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud backup technologies across AWS, Azure, and OCI
5+ years of management experience leading technical teams
Proven track record of leading transformational projects in IT infrastructure
Experience managing budgets and financial processes for a global multi-million dollar IT infrastructure
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across diverse technology areas
Experience conducting technology evaluations and proof of concepts (POCs)
Ability to continuously develop and improve infrastructure design and operational processes
Skills in capacity management and vulnerability patching coordination
Experience with a broad range of backup storage devices and cloud-native backup tools
Demonstrated success building and maintaining vendor and internal stakeholder relationships
Experience deploying infrastructure as code, Automation and Simplification initiatives is an added advantage
Ability to manage budgets, staff performance, vendors, projects, and project finances
