About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform comprehensive analysis of health care, financial, and other detailed data using spreadsheet and database management software, primarily Excel
- Work with client and team project managers to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables
- Develop and propose essential project documents, including budgets and work plans
- Assist in developing reports, spreadsheets, and presentations
- Communicate regularly with clients to review project status and expectations
- Provide expertise and insight to clients and teams to solve potential project problems
- Manage project scope, budget, and timelines
- Work with credentialed actuaries, financial executives, state governments, and internal teams to examine financial reports and Medicaid healthcare experience
- Support efficient use of Medicaid dollars
- Use AI and technology-enabled tools in project work
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA/BS degree in economics, finance, accounting, business analytics, mathematics, statistics, or a related analytical major
- 3+ years of healthcare financial analysis experience, rate analysis, and provider payment modeling
- Ability to work on team projects and initiatives in a dynamic environment
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and functions to organize, analyze, and interpret data
- Strong desire to work in complex financial forecasting models
- Medicaid program experience
- Knowledge of data analysis, project management, and presentation design
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Intellectual curiosity
- Ability to work collaboratively on a team
