About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead DC investment consulting work for mid-size to large clients
- Deliver and promote Marsh’s consulting services
- Support senior investment consultants on complex clients
- Conduct performance monitoring, strategy reviews, default strategy advice, investment changes, and statutory document updates
- Review and quality-check work produced by analysts and junior consultants
- Manage elements of client relationships, including budgets and commercial oversight
- Drive proactive revenue generation by retaining clients and expanding services
- Collaborate closely with senior consultants
- Review and elevate analysts’ and junior colleagues’ work
- Contribute to practice growth through client engagement and market presence
Requirements
What you’ll need- Circa 5 years’ experience in a DC investment consulting role; ideally UK DC, with comparable experience considered
- A relevant professional qualification or progress toward one (IMC, FIA/FFA, and/or CFA)
- Strong client consulting and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and credibly
- Proven experience supporting and/or leading investment advisory work, including monitoring, governance, and implementation
- Demonstrated commercial mindset
- Experience contributing to business development through existing and new client opportunities
- Experience advising UK DC schemes on default strategy design, performance oversight, and investment change implementation
- Confidence building internal and external relationships at all levels
- Proactive working style and comfort operating in a dynamic, collaborative environment
- Project management capability helpful but not essential
- Track record of contributing to thought leadership/intellectual capital
- Must work from a local office or onsite with clients at least three days per week
