About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Devise go-to-market strategy and advocate for the value of the placement function
- Participate in pricing of services as applicable
- Instruct submission of coverage specifications and obtain quotes from carriers under the “assist, advise, and assume” transaction model
- Consult with client executives and client teams to support client retention and new business production
- Inspect the binding of coverage and ensure the accuracy of placement binders
- Build relationships with practices, insurance markets, clients, carriers and underwriters to provide cohesive client service
- Advise management on complex client issues or trends and participate in developing solutions
- Monitor changing insurance and risk management market conditions and inform stakeholders of major developments
- Formulate placement strategies using risk expertise and knowledge of industries and carriers
- Lead complex placement and technical support activities on major accounts
- Ensure procedural compliance, review data, update annual renewal exhibits and maintain accurate placement system entries
- Help ensure contract execution as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years industry experience and success working collaboratively in a team environment
- International Casualty experience lines needed
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and communication skills
- P&C license, or ability to obtain
- Experience in loss-sensitive policies is a plus
- Ability to build strong relationships and rapport with internal colleagues, clients and carriers
- Self-starter and resourceful, with the ability to bring solutions and ideas to the firm
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative team
- Interest in achieving the practice’s goals
- Must work in the local office or onsite with clients at least three days per week
