About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and maintain secure and scalable Azure infrastructure using Terraform
Ensure architecture supports evolving data processing needs
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and code deployment
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration to improve deployment speed and reliability
Implement monitoring solutions to track system performance and health
Proactively address and troubleshoot infrastructure issues to ensure high availability and reliability
Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to understand infrastructure needs
Provide technical support and guidance for deployment and operation of data applications and tools
Keep current with DevOps and cloud infrastructure best practices
Recommend and implement improvements to infrastructure management processes
Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure setups, configurations, and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in platform engineering
Proven track record of deploying and managing Azure cloud environments
Solid understanding of DevOps practices, including automated testing, deployment, and orchestration
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong expertise in Azure services and management, particularly Azure data services
Proficient in infrastructure-as-code tools, particularly Terraform
Experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
Familiarity with monitoring tools and practices using Azure Log Analytics and Datadog
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Azure certifications are highly desirable
Knowledge of data engineering and big data technologies is advantageous
