About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Gain exposure to Marsh Re’s business and the reinsurance industry while developing communication, analytical, marketing, and sales skills
  • Analyze client data and create reinsurance submissions
  • Coordinate broking placement activities
  • Organize and prepare presentations on industry trends, client options, and strategic solutions
  • Assist senior brokers with client relationship management and sales efforts
  • Provide market research and financial analysis for current and prospective clients
  • Support data collection and analysis for client reinsurance submissions
  • Assist with renewing reinsurance programs
  • Update brokers on issues and progress
  • Respond to client queries and concerns and resolve issues promptly
  • Monitor accountings, including premium payments and loss collections
  • Assist with contract documentation review and production
  • Schedule reinsurer audits and client visits
  • Maintain knowledge of reinsurer capabilities
  • Analyze client risk and develop and present recommendations
  • Follow best-practice procedures and compliance policies
  • Assist brokers in designing programs for clients’ unmet needs
  • Respond to client information requests in coordination with relevant departments
  • Develop competencies through training for an Account Executive role

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Fully matriculated student pursuing a Bachelor's degree, with expected graduation in December 2026 or Spring 2027
  • Good computer skills using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Relevant work experience is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills for establishing and maintaining client, reinsurer, and internal relationships
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work flexibly as part of multiple teams and autonomously
  • Ability to juggle changing priorities and varied workload
