About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Join Marsh Risk’s two-year Early Career Program
- Work hands-on with an account team aligned to a specific business group
- Retain existing clients, acquire new business, and provide day-to-day account services as a Client Relationship Associate
- Serve as a product specialist with technical knowledge of risks and insurance coverage products as an Account Associate
- Interact with insurance markets and clients
- Partner with Account Executives and Brokers to create strategies and marketing plans
- Evaluate insurance quotes and compare coverage offerings
- Negotiate terms and coverages with underwriters
- Create and expand benchmarking reports
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and global insurance markets
- Prepare presentations for clients and prospects
- Develop and present internal and external renewal strategy documents
- Work with senior colleagues on high-level projects
- Build a network of colleagues across the organization
- Collaborate with peer and senior-level mentors
- Participate in client meetings and gain broad business exposure
Requirements
What you’ll need- Progress towards a bachelor’s degree with a graduation date of December 2026 or Spring 2027
- Degree program in Business, Finance, Risk Management Insurance, Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Liberal Arts, or a related field
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Experience engaging with diverse stakeholders and building positive relationships
- Ability to communicate effectively across different audiences
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Client or customer focused mindset
- Ability to collaborate in team environments while taking ownership of individual responsibilities
- Intellectual curiosity and interest and basic understanding of risk management and insurance
- Demonstrated leadership or initiative at school, work and/or community
