About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Evaluate liability and/or workers’ compensation claims and claim programs
  • Lead project management activities across consulting engagements, including workplans, milestones, issues, and stakeholder coordination
  • Manage client-facing reporting, validate claim data, prepare executive-ready materials, and communicate findings and recommendations
  • Translate claims and operational data into concise reporting that supports decision-making
  • Facilitate kickoff meetings, stewardship discussions, strategy sessions, and follow-up communications
  • Monitor project financials, timelines, and engagement progress; identify risks and recommend solutions
  • Oversee claims data management, inventory, closure tracking, action plans, and performance metrics
  • Support claim strategy discussions with adjusters, TPAs, carriers, defense counsel, and clients
  • Coordinate consultant workstreams and monitor output quality
  • Develop presentations, summaries, dashboards, action plans, and recommendations
  • Identify opportunities for engagement expansion, process improvement, and broader consulting support
  • Maintain knowledge of claims trends, jurisdictional considerations, best practices, and market developments
  • Build trusted client relationships and provide strategic guidance
  • Manage budgets, timelines, performance metrics, and client reporting
  • Coordinate claim review and closure management efforts
  • Escalate issues with clear recommendations and supporting rationale
  • Contribute to team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA/BS degree in a relevant field or equivalent insurance, claims, or consulting experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in liability and/or workers’ compensation claims, claims consulting, TPA/carrier operations, or related risk management functions
  • Experience managing client-facing projects, workstreams, or service delivery responsibilities in a professional services, claims, or consulting environment
  • Strong understanding of claims lifecycle management, claim resolution strategies, and factors influencing cost, duration, and outcome
  • Experience with claims data, reporting tools, Excel-based analysis, and/or RMIS platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate stakeholders, and maintain attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Experience in both claims consulting and project management
  • Experience preparing and presenting executive-level reporting
  • Ability to manage budgets, forecast performance, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions
  • Hands-on experience with claims inventory review, action plan tracking, closure management, and operational performance reporting
  • Practical knowledge of liability and workers’ compensation claim environments
  • Prior experience mentoring team members, coordinating consultant work, or informally leading delivery teams
  • Industry-recognized designations or certifications such as AIC, ARM, CPCU, SIP, WCCA, CWCP, or similar
