About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Orchestrate sales and delivery across Marsh People and Investments businesses and the broader Marsh enterprise
- Originate and expand work with corporate development teams and private equity sponsors
- Own the human capital agenda on complex acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, joint ventures and private equity deals
- Frame people questions and translate them into value cases, synergy plans and integration roadmaps
- Advise senior business leaders, CHROs, CFOs and private equity deal teams
- Use AI to accelerate data room review, document synthesis, workforce cost and synergy modeling, and diligence work
- Coach teams on AI-enabled delivery, review standards, source verification and client confidentiality
- Shape the practice point of view on transaction trends and take it to market
- Lead and develop consultants and engagement managers
- Manage transactions from diligence through Day 1 and post-close integration or separation
Requirements
What you’ll need- 12+ years of professional services experience with a track record of leading transactions
- Demonstrated management consulting capability, including structuring ambiguous problems and reaching defensible recommendations under commercial and deal-timeline pressure
- Executive presence with CHRO, CFO and private equity audiences
- Working fluency with AI in delivery, including AI-enabled analysis, accuracy, source verification and client data handling
- Working knowledge of the M&A lifecycle and core HR disciplines across total rewards, benefits, HR technology and workforce planning
- Commercial ownership, including origination, proposal leadership and accountability for revenue, margin and delivery quality
- Ability to build, lead and develop teams in a matrixed environment
- Willingness to travel as deal activity requires
- Hands-on experience building with AI tools, including prompting, scripting or agentic workflows
- Experience with transaction-critical HR disciplines, corporate and private equity clients, cross-border transactions, carve-outs and separations
- Fluency with HRIS and people data, including Workday, SuccessFactors or equivalent
- Relevant professional certifications such as CCP, GRP, CEBS, PROSCI or PMP are a plus
- MBA or other advanced degree is a plus
