About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary business-side coordinator for inorganic growth initiatives across IAM and OWA
  • Identify and research acquisition and investment targets across practices and geographies
  • Develop business-side strategic rationales and business cases covering capability fit, market attractiveness, strategic benefits, synergies and risks
  • Manage internal approval processes
  • Project manage due diligence on potential targets
  • Coordinate business participation and assist Corporate Development with market research, commercial analysis, risk assessment and negotiation support
  • Support senior leaders in relationships with potential targets and strategic partners
  • Partner with Finance, HR, Legal, IT, Marketing and Operations on integration plans
  • Coordinate commercial integration, including client and pipeline alignment, cross-sell opportunities, capability positioning and go-to-market messaging
  • Track integration progress and acquisition outcomes against the original business case
  • Escalate issues and help leadership realize strategic rationale and expected business benefits
  • Develop, prioritize and execute strategic growth initiatives with senior leaders
  • Lead high-priority strategic and operational projects across practices, geographies and functions
  • Connect teams and mobilize functional expertise and resources

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of relevant experience, ideally in professional services, management consulting, corporate strategy, business operations, corporate development or a comparable environment
  • 3+ years working directly with or supporting C-suite or senior leadership teams
  • Prior experience in M&A, corporate development, transaction diligence or post-merger integration
  • Demonstrated track record of managing complex, cross-functional initiatives from ideation and analysis through execution and measurable outcome
  • Proven project and program management capability, including planning, milestone tracking, risk management and stakeholder reporting across multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel capability
  • Comfort adopting new analytical and work-optimization tools
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support the business
  • Ability to operate effectively with senior leaders and navigate ambiguity
  • Market research, commercial analysis, risk assessment and negotiation support experience
  • Outstanding written, oral and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders without formal authority and operate effectively in a matrixed organization
  • High level of integrity and professionalism for confidential and commercially sensitive work
