About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Obtain, review, and analyze medical, financial, tax, and employment records
- Create detailed medical and factual chronologies
- Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, and witness files
- Compile evidence through discovery documents, transcripts, records, libraries, and databases
- Manage and organize electronic and physical case files
- Coordinate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and support services
- Generate status reports, logs, and case indexes
- Correspond with clients and opposing law firms
- Conduct legal and medical research, including review of expert materials
- Communicate with experts and analyze their qualifications, prior testimony, transcripts, and publications
- Perform additional duties as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1-3 years of litigation/casualty paralegal experience
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree required
- Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple assignments
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
- Willingness to learn and adapt as new skills are required
- Dedication to fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation
